• Don Bosco Students bag top honours at Innovation Management And Certification Workshop at Siemens
• Siemens India organized a one week Innovation management and certification workshop at Siemens Healthcare Goa in association with Siemens ThinkTank from 17th to 22nd April 2016. 10 student groups from all over India were shortlisted from among thousands of entries. Mr. Joshua Salema, Mr. Myron Rodrigues and Mr. Mayur Shetti, final year students of Don Bosco College of Engineering were among the 10 groups selected. The students visited GMC, Apollo Victor and Goa Scan Center to identify problems that patients and doctors are facing and develop solutions. The week began with brainstorming sessions from various managers from Siemens Healthcare as well as eminent doctors from Goa to help students identify solutions. At the end of the week, the students developed 10 realistic solutions with implementations and models/prototypes to explain their concepts at an exhibition which was open to all the Siemens Healthcare Employees. The Don Bosco students beat all the other groups to impress the judges with their ideas and bagged the first place. The students have now been invited to participate in the global event of Thinktank which will be organised in July in Germany. The project was coordinated by Mr Sultan Haider (Siemens Thinktank Global Head) and Ms Shamlin Sunny(Siemens Thinktank head India).
• Ms.Yash Prabhugaonker from 3rd year won the Second Place in All Goa Inter-Collegiate Patriotic Singing Competition, in Group and Solo categories.
• Mr.Jude Baptista ,Mr.Deston Cardoz from 3rd year won third place in Inter College Futsal competition conducted by SS Dempo College of Commerce and Economics Don Bosco Oratory, Indoor Stadium from July 19 to July 22 2016.
• Mr.Anoop Kotambikar, Ms.Nazia Mathihalli, Mr.Saish Shinde, Mr.Siddun Khwaja from 4th year participated in GEEKWIZ national level quiz conducted by Rosary College.
• Mr.Mrunal Subodh Thakur attented talk on Geometry for Mathematics titled “How to balance the Govardhan” and uses of spectral methods” delivered by Prof.Abhiram Ranade, IIT Bombay organized by Goa University.
• The students of Don Bosco College of Engineering , Shruti Joshi-Be ETC, Dion Rodrigues-Be ETC, Dwayne Corneiro-Be ETC, Yash Prabhugaonker-Te Comp, Gaurav Dessai-Te Civil, Gaurav Kalangutkar-Te Civil, Kohen Duarte-Te Civil, Saptak Banerjee-Se ETC, won the Second Place in All Goa Inter-Collegiate Patriotic Singing Competition, in Group and Solo categories, among 18 other colleges.
  The competition was held on 22/8/2016, organized by Cultural Council of V V M’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics.
